About Me
Accredited Mental Health Practitioner (AASW) & EMDR Therapist in Brisbane - Providing compassionate, trauma-informed focused psychological strategies. With over 18 years of clinical experience, I have dedicated my career to helping individuals overcome trauma and improve their mental health. I hold a Master's degree in Social Work and am an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker and certified EMDR therapist.
My professional journey began in community mental health, where I worked with diverse populations facing a wide range of challenges. This experience shaped my holistic approach to therapy and deepened my understanding of how social, cultural, and environmental factors influence mental health.
Throughout my career, I have specialized in trauma treatment, particularly using EMDR therapy. I have completed advanced training in trauma-informed focused psychological strategies and continue to stay updated on the latest research and techniques in the field.
In addition to my clinical work, I am passionate about mental health education and advocacy. I believe in reducing stigma around mental health issues and empowering individuals to seek the support they need.
My approach is informed by a deep respect for each client's unique experiences and strengths. I believe in collaborative therapy that honors your wisdom about your own life while providing expert guidance and support.
